The Dutch painter Alex Lichtveld holds a master of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. Besides Dutch, he speaks English and French fluently. He has exhibited his paintings in Holland and France mostly.
Alex has been teaching painting and drawing at institutes and organisations like: the (former) workshop of the v.Goghmuseum, Academy of Architecture, Academy Montaigne, Gooise Academie and the privately run ateliers La Mouthe, Dordogne and Shabanou, Côte d’ Azur both in France. Alex held workshops and classes for absolute beginners as well as very advanced students; with gusto, consideration and a talent for efficiently developing the specific talents of his students. As a result, a boldly painted, big canvas in acrylic will be treated with the same attention as a fragile, small watercolour; the personal development, of the student is the most important.
